2005-2006 Achievements:
- More than 94% of all participants
met or exceeded UNH's GPA requirement for good academic standing
- Majority of participants report
improvement in grades after 3-5 contact hours with staff
- Participants demonstrate
substantial gains in motivation and critical thinking skills that
are significantly correlated with academic success at UNH
- Based on current SSS longitudinal
study of participants vs. students who are grant-eligible but who do
not participate, SSS participants exhibit higher retention and
graduation rates, greater improvement in grades and lower academic
suspension rates
